ਇਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (1780-1839) ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਲੇਖਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਉਥਲ -ਪੁਥਲ, ਉਸਦਾ 21 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਐਲਾਨ।

This book tells the tale of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), who is also known as the Lion of Punjab.  The author illustrates the conditions in which Maharaja was born, his father's death, surrounding political turmoil, his proclamation as the Maharaja of Punjab at the very young age of 21 to become one of the greatest warriors in history.
