ਸ਼ਿਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਬਟਾਲਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ| ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1967  ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਵਿ ਨਾਟ ਲੂਣਾ ਲਈ  ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਇਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ 'ਚ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ - ਪੀੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਗਾ (1960) , ਲਾਜਵੰਤੀ (1961 ), ਆਟੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ (1962 ), ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਾ ਕਰੋ (1963 ), ਬਿਰਹਾ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ (1964) ਲੂਣਾਂ (1965 ) ,ਆਰਤੀ (1969 ), ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ (1970 ) ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ (2013) ਮਿਲ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ|

Shiv Kumar Batalvi is  one of the most famous poets Panjab has ever had.

He is better known for his romantic poetry, noted for its heightened passion, pathos, separation, and lover’s agony. His unique choice of words and the vibrant colors of his imagery won him hundreds of thousands of Punjabi-speaking fans from the 1960s onwards.

He became the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967 for his verse drama Loona

This book is the compilation of all his works which comprises Peedan da Praga (1960), Laajvanti (1961),  Aate Diyan Chidian (1962),  Mainu Vida Karo (1963),  Birha tu Sultan (1964),  Loona (1965), Aarti (1969) , Mai  te Mai (1970) and Chup di Awaz which was published in 2013, is a compilation of  Shiv’s poems and  songs published in different Punjabi journals.
