ਲਾਹੌਰ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ 404 ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਮ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਡਾਇਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਨੋਟਸ, ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਸੋਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸੋਚਣੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਸਤਕ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਲਿਖਤ ਨੋਟਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

Among the few things that martyr Bhagat Singh had with him during his last three years in Lahore Central Jail were a 404-page diary and a pen. During his highs and lows, they were his companions all through his trying moments and inside the condemned jail cell. This book is the account of all those handwritten notes of Sardar Bhagat Singh.
